Most of us know that salt is essential for health as well as most of us are aware that too much salt is detrimental to our health. Excessive salt can contribute to high blood pressure and a whole host of other problems

Contrary to our knowledge, the common table salt often sold in the market is composed of 2.5% iodine and chemicals used to absorb moisture; and 97.5% sodium chloride. Manufacturing includes the use of extreme heat by means of 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit to dry the salt completely, which also affects its natural chemical composition.

Himalayan Salt Tastes Better Than Conventional Table Salt

From the name itself, Himalayan crystal salt came from the Himalayan mountain range passing several countries in Asia. The salt was formed naturally from crystallized sea beds millions of years ago until the lava took over and Himalayan mountains were formed. As a result, the salt was covered in snow for centuries, preserving the crystals from pollution and climate changes.

Warning; There are a lot of people advertising there salt as pure unrefined Himalayan salt, some are genuine some are not, always try and buy your health supplements from a reputable company. With this, sea salt makes it harder for the body to absorb the vital nutrients, losing a huge amount of energy in the process. Crystal salt, on the other hand, is easily absorbed due to its even structure while generating a bigger amount of energy.

  1. Rock Salt

Another common salt used in the kitchen is mined salt, otherwise known as rock salt.
